“Since joining Exclusive Martial Arts Fitness Division I have not only lost weight, gained muscle, and toned up, but it has changed my life in so many ways. I have more confidence, have made some incredible friends, and learned things about myself I never imagined. It has helped me break out of my comfort zone. Being a mom and a wife with a crazy work schedule and lots of kids activities, going to the studio is my escape, my me time. I get an hour a day to myself where I’m not needed, no being asked questions, and I can get my stresses out. On the days I am not trying as hard as I should, the instructors there know what I am capable of and will help motivate me so I can get the best workout in. I truly cannot thank the instructors enough for what they have helped me become. I’m not to where I want to be yet, but I also never imagined myself in the shape I am in now!”

“I have always tried to maintain an exercise regimen throughout the years with more or less success… usually less. For the most part, everything that I did, I got bored within a couple of months, and these regimens only focused on a few aspects of my body’s conditioning. Exclusive Martial Arts Fitness Division has changed that. I have enjoyed being with this program for years. The instructors are so friendly and helpful – they are always mixing up the classes and making them fun and challenging for everyone in the class regardless of each individual’s ability. The cardio kickboxing workouts address conditioning from many different angles – from strength training, to balance and coordination, to cardio workouts. All of these things have helped me be in the best shape of my life. I have the physical conditioning to play with my kids, crank out my day as a high school teacher, and still have the energy to volunteer my time to help others. Physically I can do things now that I couldn't do in my late teens and twenties. For me, Exclusive Martial Arts Fitness Division has been life changing.”

“My daughter introduced me to EMA Fitness Division a few years ago. I was hesitant at first but found out it was a fun way to exercise. It has also helped me with many elder-related health issues. EMA Fitness Division’s unique kickboxing exercises have improved my balance tremendously. The change in sequence of the kickboxing rounds is great brain exercise and improves coordination. At first, I couldn’t do push-ups or sit-ups but now I can do both. I’m not as fast as the younger people in class, but that doesn’t matter. I have gained in strength and confidence. It’s way more fun than going to a gym and doing boring exercises. Any age can do it. If I can do it, so can you.”

“Before starting with EMA Fitness Division, I had never stuck with a workout or fitness program for longer than a few months. August will make one year since I've started! Before EMA Fitness Division, I could never do more than a couple push-ups on my knees… now I can do 100 on my toes! I am stronger and have more endurance than I ever have, and most of all, it is so much fun!”

“I joined EMA Fitness Division on a whim from an online coupon. I had never stuck with any workout program for longer than a couple of months and figured I had nothing to lose. After the first 3 classes I was hurting, feeling muscles I had never felt before, and I was aching for more. Every class I went to I felt my body getting stronger, my kicks getting higher, and my punches were hitting harder. After about a year, I went from a few push-ups on my knees to 100 push-ups on my toes. I went from kicking at thigh level to kicking above my head and looking like a total badass while doing it. I never thought I could be this strong and I'm actually looking forward to seeing how strong I can become. Thank you EMA!”

“In April of 2014 I started at EMA Fitness Division. I weighed 189 pounds and ranged between sizes 16-22. I couldn’t do a push-up on my toes anymore and I had little to no endurance. I had never stuck with a workout routine (gym or self) for longer than a couple of weeks. I would get so bored with the cardio kickboxing, and the routines would become stale. They would be the same day in and out, so I had nothing to really lose by trying this place out. After I started at EMA Fitness division, I quickly found my place. No cardio kickboxing workout was the same, they were fun, and the other members became some of my biggest cheerleaders! I have lost 35 pounds and am a comfortable size 8. And it has stayed off! The instructors will all say, I did the work, and it was all me, but without the encouragement that the instruction team provides and the great friends I have made from here along the way, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

"I have been a stay at home mom of two since my kids were born (now 10 and 7). I had always worked out, even during pregnancies, palates mostly, until my 2nd was born. It all stopped, I was to tired. When my youngest was two I felt frumpy, unworthy and stuck in a non-fitness rout. I started running but I was not seeing the results that I was desiring. One day, when I was at the park with my kids I had enough, that day I realized that I had to make a change and get a hold of my body, mind and soul. I mean, how could I take care of anyone if I was not taking care of myself.
I made a leap, and decided to sign up and go to an EMA kickboxing class. Oh my, I was soooooo scared, I was venturing out of my norm and trying something new. What if I can’t do it? What if it’s to hard? I had no idea what to expect or what to do.
My first class, I went in and it was not as bad as I thought it would be. Don’t get me wrong, I was struggling and had a hard time doing all the drills but, I found something I liked to do. So I joined and made a solid effort to go as often as I could. My two small kids in toe, they would play on their iPads, quietly with each other or even with the other kids that were there, while their moms worked out too. Win/win!
When I first started kickboxing I was 50 pounds heavier then I am now. Kickboxing has made me feel a purpose in my life that I had missed so much! I got myself in shape and made amazing friends along the way! I now was living again instead of just going through the motions. I showed up and realized that there was always someone stronger then me, so in my mind (and because I’m competitive) I would compete with them. This made me stronger and I am grateful for having those individuals impact my life and they never even knew!
I did not think that would ever do the incline but now I have, twice, because an amazing friend that I met at EMA keeps inviting me . Grateful! Since joining EMA I have conquered 17 14ers (19 in my life) 14 of those in one summer! All because of joining kickboxing! When we summited Mt. Handies I dedicated that mountain to EMA. I am very grateful that I found this amazing place!!"
